Light that dispels darkness
Today, the world has reached an era of stupendous achievements in science and technology. It is now recognized by all that the period of pure science has come to an end. Society is, instead, now threatened with an idealistic vacuum. But, if man is so successful and advanced, the question is why the world is facing such devastating turmoil. Many intellectuals thought that all human problems would be solved by science, but experience has proved the contrary. Today, there is no denying that man needs some sort of faith. It is high time-the last opportunity, in fact-to rethink in a very serious manner, the direction in which human behavior is going, bringing the world to the verge of extinction due to man’s nuclear ambitions. Today uncertainty, insecurity and instability is haunting every individual, leading the new generation down towards somber future.
Due to fierce competition, youth are compelled to commit acts that are ruining our social structure. The biggest misconception of this era is that “Money is Supreme”. This is the first sign of corrosion of humanity and social ethics. Materialistic values are trying to dominate spiritual values. The root cause of this chaos is lack of knowledge of the principles of life (religion). The masses, today, are unaware of precious guidelines for a happy and prosperous life given by religion. The present world is of intellectuals who, unfortunately, are unaware of religion and its principles that can fulfill their lives. There is no true knowledge of religion and its norms for contemporary society.
Whenever sacrilege rises in society, there is an incarnation of an immortal virtue in the form of a great saint to propagate the principles of humanity and turn society away from its decline.
To enlighten, to educate and give proper direction to mankind, it is essential that a renaissance is brought about by saints. Shri Uday Singh Deshmukh, affectionately called Bhaiyyuji Maharaj, a young saint with a divine glow on his face leading the masses with his benevolent grace to a virtuous life. Bhaiyyu Maharaj is a Yug Purush, a spiritual saint and a yogi in the modern age. For this era, he has reached the level of perfection and has achieved Siddhi divine powers. He is a follower of the Nath Panth Sect and a devotee of Lord Dattatreya, leading a practical life within spiritual limits. India has a rich tradition of saints and their spirituality continues in the form of Bhaiyyuji Maharaj. Spiritual knowledge gained by these saints through their perseverance only would enable their physical and social development along with a multifaceted enhancement of a common individual, following the footprints of his Guru along the path of virtue i.e. religion.
From time to time, the world witnesses the birth of a Yug Purush whose incarnation is meant to lead suffering humanity onto the path of Dharma. There are many saints, sages and Gurus in our country, but very few visionaries. India’s tradition in this respect continues in the form of Bhaiyyu Maharaj, the sage of modern times. He is not only a Guru, a guiding star of the era, but also a great visionary, whose various projects and activities propagated in modern life, have effectively touched our topsy-turvy society.
At the age of 37, he is considered one of the youngest spiritual teachers in the world. We are the blessed and the most fortunate ones to be under the spiritual guidance of Guru Bhaiyyu Maharaj.
Udai Singh Deshmukh was born on April 29, 1968 to Shri Vishwas Rao Deshmukh and Smt Kumudni Devi Deshmukh in Shujalpur. It was predicted that he would have a great future in the field of Dharma. For him, it can be rightly said ‘Morning Shows Its Day’. He grew up as a charming and mischievous boy, adored by all. Being a brilliant student he used to complete his lessons effortlessly. He has multifaceted talents and interests- cricket, horse riding, fencing, swimming and badminton. He has distinctive ideas and a fund of jokes and was adept at mimicking everyone with great humor. From early childhood, he was forceful and an excellent actor, with a never-ending source of new ideas for his family and friends. He is married to Sau. Madhavi and is blessed with a daughter Kuhoo.
Those who meet him will never forget his radiant face and his peaceful, graceful posture. To animate and motivate youth all over the country for a prosperous life, Bhaiyyu Maharaj has special attention and affection for them. He sees them as the builders of a future India. His lectures throw light on the principles of ‘Sarv Dharma Sambhav,’ religious equality, which will help youngsters to unfold their hidden potential in the light of dynamic spirituality. Many of them have been helped to grow into successful and cultured members of the society.
Bhaiyyu Maharaj has set up Ashrams in various cities in Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh. The main Ashram situated in Indore, SHRI SADGURU DATTA DHARMIK EVAM PARMARTHIK TRUST, located at BH-16, Pandit Dindayal Upadhyay Nagar (Bharat Mata Mandir) Sukhlia, Indore. The Ashram is a center where numerous spiritual and social projects and discussions are continuously held. Hundreds of devotees visit the Ashram to pay their respects and receive his blessings. It is strongly believed (and experienced) by his devotees that Bhaiyyu Maharaj looks to the welfare of his devotees. There are many instances reported by his devotees and disciples of his appearing in their midst during crises.
Deeply moved by love and compassion towards the poor, the sick and the old, he started a health camp ‘A Healthy Body and a Healthy Mind’. Presently, his main focus is on creating awareness among the people of the value of positive thinking and positive living through his lectures and discourses. Those who follow his teachings have found their lives transformed as they have overcome the weakness and negative tendencies of the mind and experience a deep peace within. Inspired by his selfless example, they use their energies to serve society and by elevating the oppressed and spread his teachings of "self-realization and service to humanity", through education, relief, welfare, the arts, ecology, intellectual renaissance, women's emancipation, and humanistic economy. Moreover, he started a program of afforestation to save and plant thousands of saplings. He has also introduced the time-tested science of yoga and Soham Sadhana, Nav Rang Sadhana for a healthy and happy life.
Leading people towards God
Bhaiyyu Maharaj has his headquarters in Indore, though he does not stay here always. He mainly tours Maharashtra for development of projects where he has numerous disciples and devotees who organize discourses on spiritual and practical ways of life.
People come to Bhaiyyu Maharaj both for material as well as spiritual blessings; his disciples come from all strata of society. He has developed a scientific, psycho-philosophy and a system of practical discipline for physical, mental and spiritual development. His theory focuses more on strengthening the good rather than destroying evil. He says, “As the intensity of virtue and righteousness ascends, the intensity of evil has to descend.
